Introduction
This branding project was my attempt at breaking out of “my style”. Prior to this project I had only done projects around my interests using color schemes that felt very me. This time I wanted to explore something that I was unfamiliar with. Something soft and more feminine than my previous projects.

Branding
With branding being the key component of this project, it was important I effectively conveyed the brand. With an emphasis on softness, I went the route of muted greens and blue to loop in the nature. A rounded sans serif typeface coupled with rounded and curved symbols helped create a cohesive visual language.

Stationery
With any branding project it is important to look at the possible use cases of the visual system. In this case I created letters, envelopes, business cards, etc. to further expand the system.

Products
Next was establishing what the product would look like. I decided to have the visuals warp around the bottles. This was to continue to enforce the nature throughout the branding. Where some of that messaging would be lost if abruptly cut by an expected label size.
Packaging
Once the product had be created, I needed to explore how it would be shipped. Since this would happen in several phases I wanted to see what each phase would look like. The process would go from large generic boxes on palettes, to individual packages, and culminating in an additional product of a tote bag to carry the products in.

Reflection
At the end of this I had a new found appreciation for the work that is done by designers. We aren’t always going to be working on projects that we have experience or interest in. So being adaptable as a designer is paramount.
Problems that I ran into…
1. Conveying softness, calmness and overall approachability when I hadn’t had to focus on those attributes before.
How I pivoted…
1. Allow my color scheme, logo, typography, etc. to reinforce this messaging. One key feature being the use of lowercase in all text-content to carry a softer tone of voice.
